Efficient energy consumption

Geoplin is aware of the importance of sustainable energy consumption and promotes measures to ensure energy savings and increase energy efficiency, particularly among natural gas end-users.

In accordance with this mission, Geoplin has developed a range of energy services that allow its partners to monitor, report and analyse trends in energy consumption, plan organisational and investment measures to reduce consumption and finance relevant projects.

In accordance with the law, Geoplin also draws up a programme to promote savings among energy end-users. To improve the energy efficiency of end-customers, Geoplin primarily supports projects through the following measures:

  • the replacement of boilers that run on mazut,  heating oil and gas with new, high-efficiency boilers that use natural gas,
  • programmes aimed at performing energy audits, and
  • the installation of equipment for the operational monitoring and management of energy at customer locations.

Direct incentives for energy efficiency measures depend on:

  • savings achieved,
  • the amount of grants
  • allocated with a specific programme, and
  • the terms and conditions of a specific public tender.
